Dempsey Hunt

Dempsey Hunt, age 93, passed away November 13, 2010 at his daughter39s home in Nederland. He was born in Leesville, La., on April 6, 1917. Dempsey moved to Port Arthur in 1955. He retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad in June 1980. Dempsey was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Talbert Hunt two sons, Ronald and Rodney Hunt and one grandson, Dempsey Wayne Hunt. He is survived by his four daughters, Glenda Bush of Port Neches, Linda Trahan Steve of Nederland, Donna Sessions Tommy of Nederland and Dolores Lupo A. J. of Port Neches. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Rachel Nissen, Dempsey Ronald Hunt, Glenette Bush, Renee Gobert, Dianne Jurek, Roger Hunt, Christie Stanaland, Tracey Tatum, Troy Trahan, Kimberly Carter, Casey Sessions, Amanda Richardson, Anthony Lupo and Brian Lupo and 21 greatgrandchildren. Dempsey is also survived by his sistersinlaw, Inez Hunt of Alexandria, La, Sarah Talbert and Lena Martin of Pitkin, La., Peggy Davis of Sulfur, La., and one brotherinlaw, J. W. Talbert of Kenner, La. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, November 14 at the funeral home.
