My deepest condolences goes out for all the family and friends of Dennis. Debbie was my daughters kindergarten teacher at Travis Elementary and then 2 years later became my sons teacher and she sure did make an unpacked on his life when their daddy was killed. She is a gem. So sorry for your loss.

My husband Russell and I first met Denis and Debbie at Lowry AFB, Denver CO. We quickly became best friends. We were all just young folks at that time, but Denis always called himself the old man of the group. I treasure time spent with Debbie and Denis, we shared many fun days and evenings. We went on to Offutt AFB, NE and once again we were all together - four young people so far away from their homes in Texas and Georgia. A few years after the Air Force we got on a plane and visited the Diltz family and their (at that time) two young boys - Jacob and David. We brought our young son Alex with us and got to see the Houston and Galveston areas with our friends. I lost my husband Russell a few years ago very unexpectedly and they were among the first people to reach out to me. Our friendship has remained strong through the years and through the miles. Denis, you will be missed by all who knew and loved you! Debbie, Jacob, David and the entire family I am sending much love to y'all. Debbie, I am always here for you. God Bless Texas and all who loved Denis!
