Denise Marie Broadus, 41, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Denise was born April 7, 1976 in Galveston, Texas to Earl Toulmin Broadus, Sr. and Ella Broussard Broadus. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of Val Verde Baptist Church. Denise worked at Claire's Boutique as a sales clerk for 5 years. Survivors include her mother, Ella Broadus of Groves; sisters, Donna Lane and husband Kenneth of Groves, Tammy Blackstock and husband Alan of Mobile, AL, Lisa Greene and husband Buddy of Lucedale, MS; brothers, Robert Broadus and wife Margie of Bridge City, Wayne Broadus of Lucedale, MS, and Brian Linscomb of Orange; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Val Verde Baptist Church in Groves with Reverend Nick Dignan officiating.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's always difficult to lose a loved one, but it's especially tragic to lose them so early in life. I lost someone very dear to me and what brings me comfort is to realize death is a temporary enemy (John 5:28,29). So although your time with Denise was cut short, you can have the hope of being reunited with her forever under perfect circumstances here on Earth (Revelation 21:4). In the meantime, even though the pain may at times seem too great to overcome, please know that Jehovah God will give you the strength necessary to endure (Psalm 94:17-19). Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences.

Ella, Donna, Robert. I feel your pain we lost a beautiful angel but all was not lost. We gained a Guardian Angel and she will always be with us. She will walk with us each and every day. Never Leaving Us. Dave
