Dezi Mae Howard, age 7 died on December 12, 2023 at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston after battling Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) for five months. Dezi Mae was born on December 21, 2015 to her parents, Whitney and Nick Howard. Dezi Mae was known by her friends and family to be extremely smart, ambitious, outgoing, spunky and sassy. She was always full of energy and ready for anything.
As a member of Cheer FX Competition Cheer Team and Debbie’s Dance Company, she was always surrounded by her friends and those who loved and supported her.
Dezi Mae is survived by her parents, Whitney and Nick, her sister Aniston and her brother Stryker. Also, her grandparents Tommy and Charmain Taylor, and Mike Howard. Dezi Mae leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A gathering of the family and friends will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. followed by her service at 2:00 p.m. at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Stephen McCrate officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
