Diamond Jim Wheeler

Diamond Jim Wheeler, 71, of Port Arthur, Texas died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Cypress Glen in Port Arthur, Texas. Diamond was born January 3, 1939 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Ellis Diamond Wheeler and Katherine Brown Wheeler. He was a lifelong area resident and a retired Pipefitter/Welder with Local #195. He was also a lifelong musician in this area with the "Party Timers". Burial will be held Friday, December 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Survivors include his wife, Weita Wheeler; daughter, Linda Wheeler McEachern and husband Michael of Port Neches, Texas; sons, George Wheeler and wife Penny of Port Neches, Texas; Kenny Wheeler and wife Cher of Augusta, Georgia; brothers, Bob Wheeler and wife Linda of Nederland, Texas; Don Wheeler and wife Mimi of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Britney McEachern Wyatt, Laura McEachern Aldridge, Kenzie McEachern, Brooke, Emma, Justin and Linzie Wheeler; great grandchildren, Brodie Aldridge and Letty Aldridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
