Pam Perkins January 24, 2022
I am Pam Perkins, Emily Provost Dobbs step daughter & Chucks Dobbs daughter. Diane and I would meet at Emily's to help her when she moved into her apartment at Turtle Creek. I remember how much Emily appreciated Diane's help, especially when she had to give up her home to move into this apartment. Diane gave her such amazing love and support. I loved being with Diane and seeing her many acts of kindness with Emily. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers.

Dearest Derrick, Dean, Doug, Dwain and your families. Among the many memories I have of your mother (and your dad) one especially stands out over these past 56 years. It was the way they showed up in the lives of my mom, dad, myself, sisters and brother when my brother Kim died. And that special love and kindness, sweetness and care continued on well past the initial time of Kim's passing with thoughtful small gifts and visits that said they knew how to hold space for grieving hearts that needed time to heal. In my mothers later years, when her own health began to decline, it was Diane who showed up often either at mama's home or with a phone call to cheer her up and give her emotional support when things were hard. Mama was always so happy for their connection and I think she considered Diane more as a sister rather than a cousin. I pray that you all are surrounded with grace, ease and comfort as you celebrate Diane's life on earth and her passing on to the greatest adventure she is witnessing now. Love, Niki Broussard Breedlove

Diane was an angel here on earth. She was my Godmother and she had a tremendous impact on my life. I once asked her “how can l ever repay you for all your love and support? She told me “In your life, you will come across many people who will need your help …. pay it forward. Help others with no expectation of being repaid and tell them also to “pay it forward”. She told me this in the early 1980’s. Years later, in 2000 a movie based on this principal & by the same name: “Pay It Forward” was released. Her influence obviously even touched Hollywood:heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament:️ I will forever treasure our time together:heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament:️Fly high my sweet friend:heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament:️Much love and prayers to all the family:heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament:️:pray::heart: Debbie Moss Willhite

Diane was such an influence on my young life, in religion and so many other ways. She was one of the kindest and most generous souls I ever had the pleasure of having in my life. May the good Lord grant peace and comfort to her family as she is free and whole again with her precious Vernon, walking over heaven. :v::skin-tone-2::heart::pray::skin-tone-2:

My Aunt Diane had the most beautiful handwriting. She would send me letters when I went to Camp Fire Girls camp. She was very artistic. She would make her own gift wrap for Christmas. One year every gift under her tree was in black and white. I remember one of the gifts looked like a domino with dots. I loved her and she will be greatly missed.
