Diane Elizabeth Moore Balsamo, 67, of Port Arthur passed away on September 5, 2020 at her home in Port Arthur. Diane was born in Dayton, Texas on August 19, 1953 to the late, J.V. Moore and Ester May Austin Moore.
Diane attended school in Buna, Texas. She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Those left to cherish Diane’s memory are her husband of 25 years, Richard "Ricky" Balsamo of Port Arthur; sons, Bo Woods and wife, Kristi of Tomball, Joey Woods and Johnna of Orangefield, Jason Balsamo of Port Neches and Jeremy Balsamo and wife, Jennifer of Nederland; grandchildren, Stetson and wife Skylar, Travis, Katelynn, Brooke and Summer Woods and Mallory, Michael and Aiden Balsamo; great-granddaughter, Hadley; daughter-in-law, Robin Woods of Bridge City; and sisters, Lois Hippler of Hemphill and Sandra Dyess of Many, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Junior Moore and Leroy Moore; and sisters, Sadie McKay and Dixie White.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. John Guedry, officiant.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society and the Southeast Texas Alzheimer’s Association in Diane’s memory.
