Mary Diane Taubert Smithy, 51, of Porter, Texas died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Kingwood Medical Center. Diane was born February 12, 1959 in Port Arthur, Texas to Albert Arno Taubert and Deanna Marie Hebert Taubert. She was a Heartbeat Bear volunteer at Texas Children's Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Monsignor Bennie Patillo officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil service to begin at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Diane is survived by her parents, Albert and Deanna Taubert of Port Neches, Texas; sister, Cynthia Marie Heckaman and husband, Alton D. Heckaman, Jr. of Kingwood, Texas; brother, Glenn Taubert and wife, Dodie Taubert of Port Neches, Texas; nephews, Aaron Heckaman and Ryan Taubert, nieces, Bailey Taubert and Emily Taubert. Memorial contributions may be made to Texas Children's Hospital 6621 Fannin Street, Houston, Texas 77030.

Mr. & Mrs. Taubert - I am so sorry to hear about Diane. I just found out - I would have come. I have a lifetime of great memories with her ( from Barbies and Catholic School ) and all the years later. My heart goes out to all of you. Love, Lisa Colello ( Sweat )

Mr. and Mrs. Taubert, I am so sorry for the loss of Diane. I will always have such found memories of car pulling as kids. My prayers are with you all to day and those to follow.
