      Dianne Marie Dupre, 73, of Groves, Texas passed away on June 18,2024, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. She was known for her dedication and compassion, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

      Born on October 5, 1950, in Franklin, Louisiana, Dianne's life was filled with love and which she extended to her family and friends. As an Administrative Assistant Secretary for Lamar University Deaf Education, she touched the lives of many with her hard work and kindness.

      Dianne was more than just a professional; she was a devout catholic and a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She was a compassionate caregiver to her mother and grandmother, showing boundless love and support. Her talents were not just limited to the workplace; she was known for making the best homemade biscuits and hot chocolate, bringing joy to those around her. 

      Those who had the privilege of knowing Dianne remember her as a proud and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed engaging in conversations with friends and was a social butterfly who loved hosting visitors with delicious food.

      In her leisure time, Dianne found joy in cooking and watching TV. Her presence illuminated any gathering, making everyone feel welcome and at ease.

      Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby (Durocher) Dupre and Charles Anthony Dupre Sr., but she leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughter Margaret (McGlaun) Powell and son-in-law Michael of Groves, along with grandsons Nathaniel Powell and Anthony Dean Powell. Her Grand Pups Lizzy and Jane will also miss their doting grandma.

      Additionally, Dianne is survived by her siblings: Gen Dupre and spouse Leigh Harper of Oregon, Prissy McEachern and husband Ronald of Montgomery, Charlotte Reimer of Nederland, Charles Anthony Dupre Jr. of Illinois, Duane Dupre and wife Helen of Groves; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

      In honor of Dianne Marie Dupre Memorial Contributions may be made to Lamar University Department of Deaf Studies & Deaf Education, 4400 S Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy, Beaumont, TX 77710.
