Dilia Louise Schembri, 92, of Port Arthur passed away, Friday, November 12, 2010 at her residence in Port Arthur. Dilia was born on September 29, 1918 in the Dominican Republic to the late, Pastor Francisco and Maria Megrant. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 34 years and a member of the SeventhDay Adventist Church. Dilia worked as a teacher, law clerk, and the banking industry.Dilia was preceded in death by her parents, also her husband, Isidore Schembri. Survivors include her three sisters, Irma Hebert of Port Neches, Grace Pabon of Arlington, and Bernice CampagnaMorales also of Arlington her nephews, Ronald Hebert and his wife Miriam of Port Arthur, Frank, Robert and John Campagna all of Arlington, Ben Colon of Conroe, Robert Colon of Fort Worth, and Jim Colon of Houston her nieces, Susie Hebert of Port Neches and Awilda Farranno. Also surviving her are a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland with Pastor Will Klinke officiating. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 4 to 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.The family would like to give special thanks to nurses Sharon Lowery, Linda Whitley, Holly Whitley, Monic for the love and dedication to Dilia.
