Dolly Geer Perry Dolly Geer Perry, a longtime resident of Groves, TX, died March 9, 2012 at Harbor Hospital. She was 91 years old and most recently resided at Rose House in Port Arthur. Mrs. Perry was born June 7, 1920 in Portsmouth, VA, the daughter of the late Vasco Rudolph Geer of St. Augustine, FL and Henrietta Mae Hausmann of Walterboro, SC. Mrs. Perry spent her girlhood in Mobile, AL before coming to the Port Arthur area where she worked for the Gulf Oil Company for over 35 years. She subsequently earned a nursing degree from Lamar University, working as a Registered Nurse for a number of years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Perry was first married to the late William L. Martin of Montreal, Quebec. Of this union, she is survived by one son, Dr. George Austin-Martin of Glenwood Springs, CO and one daughter, Mrs. Delores Ann Martin Guillot of Port Neches. In 1947, Mrs. Perry was married to the late James M. Perry of Port Arthur. Mr. Perry died 1989. Besides her son and daughter, Mrs. Perry is survived by seven grandchildren, six great- grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 13th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Port Neches with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lamar University, Dishman Department of Nursing, c/o Advance Office, PO Box 10011, Beaumont, TX. 77701. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
