Donald "Don" Roy Richard, 82, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Don was born March 4, 1938 in Crowley, Louisiana to Roy Richard and Winnie Hebert Richard. He has been a resident of Groves since 1957 and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Don has been retired as a letter carrier from the Port Arthur U. S. Postal Service for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by parents, and sister, Jeanette Buras. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Frances Ann Richard of Groves; daughters, Cathy Bodin and husband Tommy of Groves, Cindy Hall of Houston, Angela Ewing Johnson and husband Rick of Groves; sons, Mike Richard and wife Michelle of Houston, and Jason Ewing of Dallas; grandchildren, Jennifer Bodin James, Brandon Bodin, Katy Hall Wyly, Amy Hall Romero, Taylor Richard, Ricky Johnson and wife Brittany, Ryan Johnson and wife Mary Kay; great-grandchildren, Collin James, Aiden James, Reese Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Caylum Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Madison Johnson, Kadence Robbins, and Peyton Johnson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Irven Walker. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Sorry to hear of Don passing he and I were good friends for many years we had some good times working on my beach homes at crystal beach I will keep the family in my prayers I am very sorry for your lost

So sorry, I just found out of his passing. My business never would have survived as long as it did, without this wonderful man. Will really miss him.

Our sympathy and prayers to Don's family. Throughout many years he designed and did a lot of beautiful carpentry work for our home. He was a fine, talented gentleman and we will miss his friendship. May God Bless him and his family.

I worked with Don for many years at the postal service.Him and I spent a many an afternoon drinking a cup of coffee, at P&L Alternator with Paul Bradley. He was a good friend and will be missed.My sincerest condolences to the Richard family.

Sorry to hear about Don, he and my dad Gene Devillier spent many hours in my dad's shop or just visiting . We knew him as Richard he built our cabinets for our house about nine years ago and has survived two hurricanes lol. Going to miss him. Was a good man.

Don was more than a neighbor to my grandmother Marge Hagan, he was an excellent friend who helped her maintain her yard and fix what was broken. I am saddened to hear this news. Peace and love to the family.

Oh what a wonderful fun cousin who loved Cajun culture! Happy to of had him over for Mardi Gras with Kathy and I remember Ann coming too. Ohh looks like he had a good life . Prayers for family!! Will miss him. Hope to keep in touch with Ann and Kathy and hope to meet rest of family Irving and Doris Richard Thibodeaux double cousins! May he Rest In Peace
