Donny Gerald Broussard, 87, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas with his loving family at his side.

Donny was born on November 18, 1933, in Franklin, Louisiana to Unis Bergeron Broussard and Willis J. Broussard. He was a former member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and most recently attended St. Charles in Nederland. Donny owned Pizza Inn in Port Neches on Magnolia Boulevard and Pizza Inn on Gulfway Drive in Port Arthur, along with many others throughout the years. Donny loved to play golf, hunt and go dancing with his wife, Irma. He was very involved in the community and allowed defensive driving classes at Pizza Inn in Port Neches for many years. He was a proud sponsor of Port Neches Riverfest and thoroughly enjoyed the boat races.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Irma Arnaud Broussard of Nederland; son, Stacey Broussard of Nederland; daughter-in-law, Cissy Arredondo of Nederland; grandchildren, Jerrod Broussard of Port Neches and Steven Knott of Houston. Donny was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jerry Broussard and brother, Willis Broussard.

A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Cheremy Arnaud, Shane Arnaud, Shane Broussard Scott Burgess, David Knight and Gary Richards. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerrod Broussard and Stacey Broussard.

After the services, a bereavement dinner will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, in Honor of Donny Broussard and the wonderful life he lived.
