Dora Carol LaGrone

1957 ∼ 2015

Dora Carol “Paso” LaGrone, 57, of Groves, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at Bay Shore Medical Center in Pasadena, TX. Dora was born November 28, 1957 in Groves to Billy Lynch Sr. and the late Wanda Brooker. Paso was a waitress the majority of her lifetime.

Paso was a very special woman, she always put everyone first before herself. She was a people-person and loved everyone, especially her family and friends. Paso loved the Lord and prayed daily, whether it be for herself or anyone around her. She cherished the small things in life because she knew that life is too short to sweat the small stuff. Paso loved classic Rock ‘n Roll, angels, cereal and milk, candy, dancing, and her dogs. Her number one dog was Fluffy. Paso was a girly girl, with an abundance of makeup and clothes, but she also enjoyed the thrill of a Harley Davidson. She had the brightest smile and a heart of gold, Paso will truly be missed and loved by all who knew her.

Paso is survived by her husband, Jim LaGrone of Groves; her father, Billy Lynch of Groves; her 3 sisters, Mary Hudson of Port Arthur, Diana Lynch of Groves, and Loretta Lynch of Port Arthur; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, April 7, 2015 at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers for Paso will be Morris Lynch, Jack Lynch, Delwood Fontenot, Raymond Broussard, Alfonso Sosa, and Delbert Bowen.

I couldn't stop thinking about Paso and had trouble sleeping Friday night. I spoke with The Lord and asked Him if He met Paso. When I woke up Saturday morning this anointed song was playing in my head and I knew The Lord answered my prayer. He took Paso in His arms when she crossed over that beautiful river! Thank you precious Savior! This song is for you beloved Paso!

I am deeply heart broken over Paso's passing and all that you have all endured over the last few months. It's horrible to lose a loved one and no words can bring comfort. Jesus is the only one who can heal your grief. I pray He is now wrapping each one of you in His strong, loving arms just as He did with Paso when He received her on Good Friday. It's no coincidence that she went home on that day. This is The Lord saying she is resurrected with Jesus! She is now healed, healthy, whole, magnificent and forever safe back at her eternal home. This I know deep in my spirit! Paso was a sweet, loving girl. I have many fond memories of her from my younger years. We had a lot of good times together. She always treated me with love and kindness. The last time I saw her, she was working at Dorothy's Front Porch. She offered to give me her sister's clothes that no longer fit her. I hadn't seen her in years, but there she was with her generous heart. I know that Mary, Snooks, Loretta, Billy, Wink, Winter, Jeremy, Debbie and the rest of her family will miss her so very much. I have many prayers going up for all of you. All of you will always be in my heart just like family. Love you eternally, Candy

I want to send my deepest condolences to my family. This is definitely a shock! I always thought my cousin Paso was so pretty. And as kids growing up I'd always want to go spend the night with Paso. But of course my daddy wouldn't let me do that often enough  as we got older she would help me dress up to go out . Her , Mary new how to do that and boy I was glad. Years go by and then we have our on Journey to travel. I can say one thing no matter how many years and miles between the Lynch family we all have a strong love for our family. I am so happy that you were my cousin and we grew up together running around barefooted mix match clothes . Going to the corner store. And can't forget eating mac's .My dear sweet Paso RWG...great memories :rose::rose::rose::rose::rose::rose::rose:
