Mrs. Doris taught me in 4th grade many many years ago and I loved her as a teacher. I got to see her back in October of 2011 at the graveyard in Rosa. She and Kevin were putting out flowers fro All Saints Day. I was so happy to see her after all those years. She and my Mother taught school together in Morrow. She made my day by being able to see and visit with her after many years and I will miss her tremendously. Rest in Peace Mrs. Doris and I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Doris was a remarkable lady who survived all kinds of adversity. My mother, Julia Thoms Brinkhaus, was raised by her aunt, Bessie Hicks Hudspeth, as though she were a child right along with her first cousins, Allan, Willery and Veazie Hudspeth. She and we, her 5 children, all felt close to our Hudspeth cousins from Rosa. We spent summers there with the Hudspeths and our Uncle Hicks Thoms, his wife Aunt Olive and their daughters. Those were wonderful days made very pleasant by Aunt Doris, Uncle Allan, W.D. and Willery and Veazie. She will be missed. Our prayers will be with her and for you. Armand Brinkhaus

Ma D, One of the sweetest people anyone could ever meet and love. She was a true Christian and her rosary was her contant companion. I truly believe she is in heaven today rejoicing...........she fought a good battle in life and today she has her reward being with the angels. She will be missed by all especially Kevin, who thought his grandmother was the in the world. Love ,sympathy and prayers to all the family.
