Doris Lee Gross Hanks, 86, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020. Doris was born June 21, 1933 in Port Arthur, Texas to Oscar Gross and Marie Quibodeaux Gross. She was a lifelong area resident, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and the Altar Society. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward Edgar Hanks; granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle Hanks; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Broussard and husband Chris of Groves, and Brenda Anderson and husband Marc of Houston; sons, Robert Hanks and wife Barbara of Port Neches, and Kevin Hanks and wife Anne of Groves; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by a Rosary Service at 1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend J. C. Coon officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
