Dorothy Lee Bond, 81, of Nederland, Texas passed away on March 4, 2018 at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont, Texas. She was born on July 6, 1936 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Carl Zebulen Choate and Ora Dell Ashworth Choate.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Shelley Denise Andrus and her husband, Allen of Nederland; her sons, Cris Connell Hebert and his wife, Susan of Lumberton, Barry Scott Hebert of Beaumont, Stephen Hebert and his wife, Melissa of Cypress, and Kory Leon Hebert of Beaumont; her grandchildren, Misty Ziegler, Amanda Moore, Justin Barras, Hannah Hebert and Sophie Hebert; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommy Bond; and her brother Roy Choate.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.

i have thousands of wonderful memories of my Aunt "Doe Doe!" Listening to Uncle Leon play his accordion in our back yard when we'd all get together, Aunt Doe Doe would pick fuss at him for playing so much (the Italian side loved it) with her filter cigarette holder hanging out...Spending summers with Shelley and the boys. She would add my name to the 'lick list', when Uncle Leon got home we'd get however many licks were next to our names. Luckily I was not a full time kid! Cousins I love you each so much!
