Dorothy Concienne

Dorothy M. Concienne, 87, of Nederland passed away November 27, 2014 at her residence in Nederland. Dorothy was born March 25, 1927 in Nederland to the late Loveless and Mary Louise Theriot. She retired from Nederland ISD, also worked at Pure Oil Company and the County Court House.

She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, St. Charles Altar Society, St. Charles ACTS Team and served as Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society, her Bunco Groups and Happy Steppers Senior Dancers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue in Nederland, with Msgr. Dan Malain officiating with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be Monday, December 1, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm at the church, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, also her son, Ricky Concienne. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Concienne of Nederland; two daughters, Lisa Lawler and husband, Steve, of Nederland; Paula Abraham and husband, Les of Austin; one son, David Concienne and wife, Tricia of Nederland; 13 Grandchildren, and 15 Great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Texas Children’s or St. Jude’s Hospitals.
