Dorothy J. Darnell

Dorothy J. Darnell, 79, of Port Neches died Saturday June 25, 2011 in Beaumont Texas. Dorothy was born December 30, 1931 in Memphis Tennessee to Wesley E. Moore and Jessie Bounds Moore. She was a resident of Port Neches for 64 years and one of the founding members of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Port Neches. Dorothy was once an active member of the Beta Delta Chapter Epsilon Sigma Alpha and an Optical Technician for T.S.O. for 19 years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother Wesley Eugene Moore. Services will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2011 at 10:00 am at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Margaret Desmond and Reverend Michael Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters; Donna Williams and husband Steven of Bridge City, Texas and Diane Newsome and husband George of Groves, Texas; one son David Darnell and wife Tessie of Sour Lake, Texas; sister-in-law Judy Moore of Groves, Texas; seven grandchildren Ryan Rausch and Fiance Loveley, Kristen Knapp, Megan Rausch Cortney Talley, Jessica McAnally and husband Jared, Michayla and Michael Newsome; one great grandson Ryan DuPuy and numerous nieces and nephews.
