Dorothy Mae McKusker

Dorothy DuBois McKusker, 92, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Christus Dubuis Hospital of Beaumont, Texas. Dorothy was born January 25, 1918 in Sulphur, Louisiana to Destie DuBois and Stella Chaisson DuBois. She was a resident of Groves for 66 years and a member of Val Verde Baptist Church. She was also a graduate of Port Arthur Business College. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dewey McKusker; son, John Dewey McKusker, Jr.; and daughter, Donnie Rothenberger. Survivors include her six daughters, Peggy Cook and husband, Gerald of Nederland, TX, Patrichia Redfield and husband, Dennis of Vidor, TX, Pamela West and husband, Gerald of China, TX, Rebekah Gross and husband, Richard of Groves, TX, Phyllis McKusker and Tom of Chester, NE, Penny Perkins and husband, Greg of Bartlett, TN; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, and numerous step-great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Val Verde Baptist Church in Groves, Texas with Reverend Rick Koonce and Reverend Adam Pardue officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6:00p.m.-9:00p.m. at the funeral home.
