Dorothy Ann Moore

Dorothy Ann Moore, 80, of Port Neches, Texas passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Marilyn Dombrowski, in Chicago, Illinois Monday, November 10, 2014. She was born to the late Louis B. and Gladys (Delhomme) Blanchard on May 28, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a resident of Port Arthur most of her life eventually settling in Port Neches. Dorothy retired from the Jefferson County Library, a career she had enjoyed for many years as her greatest pastime was reading. She had enjoyed many monthly lunch dates with her cousins (the nineteenth street gang). She also enjoyed cross word puzzles, watching movies and baking birthday cakes for her children and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her 7 children, Marilyn Dombrowski of Chicago, IL; Sharon and Norman Konkol of Amherst Junction, WI; Jenny Sauers of Denton, TX; Steve and Esther Moore of Groves; Brian and Sherra Moore of Port Neches; Nancy and T.K. Farmer of Jasper; and Derrick Moore of Port Neches. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Junior Blanchard and a grandson. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home, 5601 39th Street, Groves, TX. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, TX.
