Dorothy Morvant Dorothy Morvant, 90, of Groves passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 4, 1925 in Port Arthur, Texas to Arvid Eric Erickson, Sr. and Clara Doiron Erickson. Dorothy was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Arthur. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Charles Miller officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, W. J. Morvant, Jr. and her children, Richard Allan Morvant, Sr. and Dixie Jo Crochet. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Lacle' and husband, Bruce of Panama City, FL and Susan Fore and husband, Freddy of Groves, TX, sister, Joan Pilcher of Call, TX, brother, Arvid Erickson, Jr. and wife, Mildred of Columbus, TX, twelve grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Marilyn and Susie, My heart goes out to yall for the loss of your mother. I remember how nice and sweet she was. My sincere condolences about her passing.
