Dorothy “Nurse Dot” Adams Mouton, 83, of Nederland passed away October 18, 2019. She was born in Beaumont on June 28, 1936 to the late Raymond Adams and Juanita Blasingame Adams. Nurse Dot was an OBGYN nurse for over 40 years for the late Dr. Black. Dorothy loved to paint the outdoors. Her passion was singing and dancing. Dorothy was in the Beaumont Melody Maids. Dorothy was an avid traveler and supporter of out military. She loved her family and especially loved cooking holiday meals. Dorothy loved Willie Nelson, Reba, and old hymns. She was respected by others and was a faith driven woman of God.
Those left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her husband of 55 years, Don Mouton of Nederland; her sons, John Riddle and his wife, Jackie of Port Neches and James Riddle and his wife, Eugenia of Nederland; her daughters, Donna Tekell and her husband, Keith of Knoxville, TN and Gwen Mouton of Nederland; her grandchildren, J. D. Riddle and Barrett Riddle; and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many close friends and a church family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Riddle Barnett.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Worship Center in Beaumont with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick White officiant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
