Dorothy Myers, 79, of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, Jul y 6, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born June 27, 1931 in Goose Creek, Texas to Fred Costello and Portia Bailey Costello. She was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of the United Methodist Temple where she belonged to the Wesley Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Republican Women of Beaumont. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell Paul Myers. Survivors include her husband, LeRoy Myers of Groves, TX; daughter, Janice McCollum of Port Neches, TX; brother, Charles Castellow and wife, Anitta of San Dia, TX; two grandchildren, Angella Betar of San Antonio, TX and Michael Lee of Bridge City, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:00p.m., Friday, July 9, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, TX with Reverend Jesse Brannen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
