Dorthea Kuchar Lewis Alston

Dorthea Kuchar Lewis Alston, 87, of Jacksonville, Florida died March 1st, 2011. She was born March 13, 1923 in Weimar, Texas. She lived in Orange, Texas for many years where she raised her family and then moved to Amarillo. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home. Dr. David Birdsong of Southside Baptist Church will be officiating. Dorthea was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil C. Lewis, her second husband, Douglas Alston, two sons, Ronnie Kenneth Lewis and Michael Dean Lewis, and brother and sister -in- law, Wilbur and Irene Kuchar. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Brymer of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter-in-law, Joy Lewis of Palestine, Texas; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and six great- great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
