Douglas J. LeBlanc, Jr., known as quotJr. LeBlancquot, 61, of Groves, Texas passed away on July 24, 2011 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves. He was born August 12, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Douglas J. Sr. and Victoria Milazzo LeBlanc. Jr. was a pass employee of Texaco Refinery, where he worked in the grease plant for 14 years. Then he went to work for Taylor Metal Works as a sheet metal worker for 24 years. He just recently retired in February. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.He is survived by his twin daughters, Charisa LeBlanc Chatelain and husband John of Nederland and Theresa LeBlanc Faulk and husband Shaun of Groves two sisters, Cindy LeBlanc Graffio and husband Joe of Groves and Charmain LeBlanc Taylor and husband Tommy of Groves one granddaughter, Abigayle quotAbbeyquot Chatelain of Nederland and several nieces and nephews.Serving as pallbearers are Caine Afinowicz, Jimbo Butuad, Dan Hebert, Paxton Sassine, George Bucklin, and Brett Sensat.He will truly be missed by his family and friends. The family would like to especially thank Susie MacMurtrie, Peggy Garvin, Paxton Sassine, Barbara Holt, Sheila Brooks, and David Castenetta, also the Compassionate Care Hospice team and Magnolia Manor for making our family feel very special at this difficult time.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011 at St. Joseph39s Catholic Church in Port Arthur, Father Stephen McCrate officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
