Douglas “Doug” Montoya, 32, of Bridge City, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his residence. Doug was born on November 23, 1984 in Port Arthur to Tony Montoya and Deanna Heilmann Montoya. He was a X-ray Technician – Pipe Welds in the construction industry.
Doug is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sonnier of Bridge City; daughter, Adrianna Montoya of Bridge City; parents, Tony and Deanna Montoya of Nederland; brother, Michael Montoya of Beaumont; sister, Stephanie Lequet of Port Neches; grandmother, Yvonne Heilmann of Beaumont; grandfather, Lennox James Heilmann and wife, Drew of Groves; father and mother-in-law, Marshall and Belinda Sharp of Bridge City; uncles, James Dwaine Heilman of Beaumont, Jack Best and wife, Gloria of Nederland and Troy Heilmann of Conroe; aunt, Erin Holder of Lake Charles; cousins, Kerri Duhe, Mandy Brinkman, Tamela Walters, Brandis Harris, Cody Heilmann and Leah Heilmann; nieces and nephews, Damien, Kassidy, Alexis and Ariana Lequet, Cade, Lainey, Makayla, Bryson and Kambri Montoya. Doug is preceded in death by his grandfather, Antonio Montoya, Sr.; grandmother, Margaret Montoya and cousin, Jennifer Lynn Alston.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. The funeral service will be on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. The interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
