I worked in Medical Records at Park Place Hospital for many years, and Dr. Bourgeois was a regular passerby in our department. As a shy young woman, he quickly found he could make me blush and with his friendly, good nature loved to do so on a regular basis. I will always remember him walking around with his unlit pipe, and he always had a smile and kind word for us all. He was a doctor we enjoyed getting visits from!

He was a great doctor and I saw him for several years. Here's a funny story about Dr. Bourgeois... I was known for getting into a lot of "scuffles" in my younger years. I had a fight on a Friday night and the guy bit my left little finger, the nail all gouged. Monday it looked very bad so I went to see him. Somewhat embarrassed, I told him I had slammed it in a car door. He said, "it looks like someone BIT it". What a great and smart man he was.

Sending our love to the family and loved ones of Dr. Bourgeois. Our family loved your family. We shared so many wonderful experiences with both our fathers being physicians in Port Arthur Texas. With Christie being one of my best childhood friends, I spent many days and nights with your family. Your Dad had a quiet nature and an interesting sense of humor. I loved how he and your Mother would dance around the living room. I loved the smell of his cigars. He made me sit down once and listen to classical music. I love all music but credit my love of classical to him. I know that your Mother will be glad to be reunited with him. We went our love and prayers.

Uncle Dick used his time on earth for good, helped out his family, gave of his time and skill to help us all with medical needs. I remember Christmas gatherings at Uncle Dick and Aunt Marilyn's - so many years ago. Be at peace.
