Kathy, kids and grandchildren: Our prayers and heartfelt sympathy are with all of you tonight. Putt's service was beautiful and enabled all who attended to share in the love and caring that Putt demonstrated every day of his life. The outpouring of love by so many people is truly a testament to the life he lived. We both worked with him for many years at Gulf/Chevron/Texaco and will never forget his ready smile or his willingness to be of help to anyone who needed it. The grief and loss you are feeling now will slowly be replaced by the good memories he left you. Dwell on them, as will we. God Bless and keep you all.

I met "Dud" when he swept my mom off her feet. For my life, I can't recall the year. But the years since then, were just to few. I can't begin to imagine how bad my life could have been if not for him. Over the years I have grown to love him more then he could have ever know. He gave and gave and gave. Never asking for anything in return. He helped people with anything they needed, no matter what it was. He died on his why home from helping me and it's a hard pill for me to swallow. But I know the last words him and I spoke and I will never forget them. I said "thanks" and he said " no problem kid". Then I waved him over to get out in front of me. Of course I couldn't stay behind him long. If you knew my dad, you knew he was going everywhwere... But he was going 10 miles belowe the posted speed limit.

I have known Dudley and his family since my son first met Natalie in preschool some 25 years ago. They were fast friends and I became fast friends with Kathy and Dudley. I've enjoyed their company and friendship ever since. There is a special place for Dudley with his heavenly father. He will be joining my husband, Tim, who passed away just 3 weeks before. Kathy, me and the kids are here for you as you were there for me at my time of need. We can help each other through this. I love you all. I send this condolence with deepest regret that I will never get to meet the man my cousin had become. We all think there will be time in the future to reconnect with far away family and friends, but times such as this remind us to hold all of them close in our hearts always. My sincerest sympathy to his family and friends that they have lost such a wonderful man. DJ
