Dwight Everette Flory, 86, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

He was born in Houston, Texas on January 29, 1935 to Everette Flory and Margurett Mondrick Flory.

Dwight retired from Ameripol Synpol as a maintenance supervisor after 35 years of service.

He was a lifelong area resident and member of First Christian Church in Orangefield.

Dwight proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Dwight enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and restoring antique cars.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 26, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mike Sullivan of First Christian Church in Orangefield officiating. Burial will be in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Marie Thompson Flory of Groves, Texas, sons, Kyle Flory and wife Candace of Port Neches, Texas, Dean Flory of Groves, Texas and Chris Flory and wife Karen of Orangefield, Texas, step sons, Terry Thompson and Jeff Anderson of San Antonio, Texas, Jerry Thompson and wife Allison of Groves, Texas and James K. Thompson and wife Shawntaul of Little Cypress, Texas, brother, Gene Allen Flory of Hempstead, Texas, grandchildren, Kaleb Flory, Devin Flory, Jordan Flory, Jarrod Flory, Paige Saltzman, Hunter Bertrand and Stephanie Bertrand, step grandchildren, Savannah Thompson, Megan Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Kevin Thompson, and Drake Thompson, and great grandchildren, Gabriel Duncan, Waverly Saltzman, and Calder Joseph Thompson.

Papa D was such an amazing man. He was always kind and sweet. It was very evident that he loved God and his family deeply. He also loved my family deeply. He always made you feel like family. I will always remember all those special moments he spent doing things for us.
