Mr. Earl Broadus, 63, of Groves died Friday January 22, 2010 at his residence. Earl was born December 23, 1946 in Mobile, Alabama to Earlie and Nannie Broadus. Earl was a resident of Groves for 38 years and a veteran of the U.S.Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Alpha and Omega Church in Groves. Funeral services will be held Monday January 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Fred Vernon officiating at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Earl was preceded in death by his son Earl Broadus, Jr., brother Earlie Broadus, and mother-in-law Lillie Broussard. Earl is survived by his wife Ella Broadus of Groves; father-in-law Robert Broussard of Groves; daughters; Denise Broadus of Groves, Donna Lane and husband Kenneth of Groves, Lisa Greene and husband Dayton of Greene County, Ms., Tammy Blackstock and husband Allen of Mobile, Al.; sons; Robert Broadus and wife Margie of Lumberton, Tx., Wayne Broadus of Greene County, Ms.; sister; Dianne Hudson and husband Marlyn of Malcolm, Al. 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws and many friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Stat Care, Fresenius dialysis, and Odyssey Hospice for their care.
