Earlene Cooksey

Earlene Cooksey, 86, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Earlene was born December 6, 1933 in Chester, Pennsylvania to Earl Lane and Edith Mae Price Lane. She has been a resident of Port Arthur since she was 3 years old, and was a 1952 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Earlene was a member of First Baptist Church of Groves. The family will have private graveside services at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home. Earlene was preceded in death by her son, Craig Cooksey. She is survived by her husband, Gene Cooksey of Port Arthur; three daughters, Rebecca Bird of Houston, Joy Swain and husband James of Houston and Colleen Broussard and husband Kirk of Port Arthur; three sons, Wrey West of Houston, Troy Cooksey and wife Pam of Humble and Curry Cooksey and wife Suzi of The Woodlands; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
