Edgar Bryan Mayer 49, of Groves, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at his residence. Bryan was born March 5, 1966 in Nederland to the late Claude Leon Mayer and Betty Leora Kenison. Bryan was construction worker for the majority of his lifetime.

Bryan was survived by his wife Terry Philen Mayer of Groves; daughter Tara Mayer of Groves; sisters Debra Landry of LaBelle, Pam Hill of Nederland, Robin Martin of Nederland, and Michelle Leblanc of Tomball; brother Chris Mayer of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bryan is preceded in death by his parents, and is brother Michael Mayer.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday October 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A gathering of the friends and family will also be held on Wednesday October 7, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The family requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
