Edith White Burchfield, 83 of Port Neches, TX, passed away at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas on Friday, May 1, 2009 surrounded by family. She was born in Fastrill, in Cherokee County, Texas to the late Lee White and Gertrude Waltmon on September 7, 1925.Edith was cafeteria manager at PNGISD. She and her husband James D. were 1 PNG fans and ticketholders for PNG football games for many years. Edith was a member of Eastern Star she picked, counted and pickled peppers and loved having you guess how many were in the jar. She was named Mother of the Year in Port Neches.Edith was preceded in death by her parents, brother R.L. White and soninlaw Paul Guidry. Edith was the devoted wife of James D.
