Edna Lee Wilkinson, 88 of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Edna was born on May 28, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas.

     Throughout her life, Edna touched the hearts of many with her kindness and affection towards her nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres, Texas. Edna enjoyed crafting, loved her dogs and enjoyed spending time with her family.

     Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Edgerton, and her beloved husband, David Vance Wilkinson and her aunt, Dorothy "Cotton" Jones of Ohio.

     Edna's memory will be cherished by numerous surviving family members and friends, including her nephews, Jeffrey Smith and wife, Anna of Bridge City, Texas; Philmon Smith, Jr. and wife, Donna of Port Arthur, Texas; Stephen Terry Smith and wife, Martha of Vidor, Texas; Tracy Smith and wife, Katrina of Allen, Texas; Laura Smith of Port Arthur, Texas; David Smith of Port Arthur, Texas; Woodrow Jernigan of Mont Belvieu, Texas; Mark Wilkinson of Prague, Czechia; and James Perry of Kansas City, Kansas; niece, Connie Blanton of Kirbyville, Texas.

     A gathering to honor Edna's life will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Melancon~Levingston Funeral Home located at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, Texas, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.

     Edna Lee Wilkinson will be remembered for her warm spirit, love for animals, and dedication to her family. May she rest in peace as we hold onto the beautiful memories she has left us with.
