Edward Paul Cooper, Jr., 65, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Ed was born August 22, 1950 in Port Arthur, Texas to Edward Paul Cooper, Sr. and Cecile DeKerlegand Cooper. He was a resident of Groves for 54 years and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was an operator and retired from the safety department at Chevron after 45 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Paul Cooper, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Connie Cooper of Groves; mother, Cecile Cooper of Groves; daughter, Brandee Morvent and husband Jimmie of Boerne; sons, Timmothy Derek Cooper and wife Janet of Willis, Edward Paul Cooper, III of Groves; step-daughter, Stormy Hamilton and husband Forest of Beaumont; step-sons, Dustin Allen and fianc Kim of Bridge City, Adam Patten and wife Juanita of Bridge City; sisters, Janice Wright and husband Howard of Hemphill, Barbara Gonzales and husband Leo of El Paso, Sandy Borne and husband Norman of Groves, Susan Perkinz and husband Paul of Groves, Phyllis Fuselier and husband Ricky of Houston; brother, Gary Cooper and wife Lillian of Magnolia; and nine grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend J. C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Myself and my family are so sorry for your loss. Although I personally did not know Mr. EP Cooper, Jr. My son Anthony Davila did know him for many years and thought very highly of him. I know he will be missed. My sincere condolences to your family.

I'm going to miss you, Ed. You were my "favorite brother-in-law." Hope they have some cars for you to work on up there, maybe even a Corvette or Camaro. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you before you passed, but know that I was thinking of you. Even put your name several times in our church prayer book at Mass. May you be at peace now. Love, Lillian
