Edward “Eddie” Caldwell, 52, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at his residence. He was born on October 24, 1962 in Port Arthur to Clyde and Judy Caldwell. He retired from Lucite International Inc. as a Process Operator. Eddie was the current President of The Eagles Aerie #3743 in Port Neches.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Holly Caldwell of Port Neches; daughter, Shae Imwalle and husband, David of Round Rock; step-daughters, Kaylee Vandiver and Kylie Vandiver both of Port Neches; parents, Clyde and Judy Caldwell of Woodville; sister, Terrie Mitchell and husband, Lonnie of Morley, Michigan; and brother, Roger Caldwell and wife, Tonya of Nederland.

Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Jason Burden officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

So very very sorry for Holly and his family. Such a shame, life ended way to soon for a good, caring. loving man. Eddie was usually the first person we saw when we walked in Eagles and he was always good for a laugh. Clyde and Roger, the rest of Eddie's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had some great times working with and playing with Eddie. He's the guy that got me interested in bowhunting and I bowhunted my first hog with him and Roger at a ranch in Uvalde. He leaves this world much too young. I am praying for all of you. To Judy, Clyde, Terrie, and Roger, my heart goes out to each of you. My memories of Eddie are mostly from my many years of teaching Sunday School and as Youth Coordinator at Wesley United Methodist Church. Your whole family participated in all activities. When I think of Eddie I think of that handsome little boy with the very, very blonde hair, angelic smile and sweet disposition. Though I haven't seen any of you in many years I have a lot of great memories of our families together. I believe I have some photos of Eddie when he was in the children's choir at church. Thank you, Judy, for being with my sister-in-law, Wanda Cotten Terrell, when she drew her last breath at the hospital. I will be praying for the entire family for peace and acceptance of this heart-breaking challenge. God gives a gift to grieving loved ones: it is the gift of memories. My Uncle Eddie. Hes the best uncle I could ever ask for. I remember going jellyfish hunting with him in the gulf of mexico. And playing in the water until we turned to fishes. Going jet skiing in the sun. When I was a little girl id run up to my uncle eddie and kick him in the shin as hard as my leg swing. And run away leaving him wondering where his hug was.....
