Edward “Eddie” Joseph Weisneck, Sr., 68, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at his place of residence. He was born on September 23, 1946 in New Jersey to the late Andrew Weisneck, Sr. and Edna Trotter Weisneck. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Port Arthur Police Department after 29 years of service.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Linda Weisneck of Port Arthur; daughter, Edna Logue and husband, Clint of Port Neches; granddaughters, Shannon Logue and Caitlin Logue; brothers, Andrew Weisneck, Jr. of New Jersey and Robert Weisneck, Sr. of New Jersey; sisters, Helen Lishman of New Jersey and Barbara Alexander of New Jersey. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Edward Joseph Weisneck, Jr.; sisters, Diane Boucher and Edna Franz; and brother, George Weisneck.
Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. J.C. Coon officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
