Edward Lastie Fruge`, Jr., of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away March 11, 2016. He was born November 8, 1940 in Hackberry, LA to the late Edward Lastie Fruge`, Sr. and Beatrice Chapman Fruge`.

Edward is survived by his children, Edward LaFosse of Buna, TX, Christine Mitchell of Fields, LA, Sandra Kay Fruge` of Vinton, LA and Katherine Tubbs of Port Arthur, TX; stepchildren, Rebecca Wade of Port Arthur, TX, Raymond Grainger of Orangefield, TX, Rusty Grainger of Mesa, AZ, Robbie Duhon of Winnie, TX Ronnie Grainger of China, TX; grandchildren, Jacob Tubbs, David and Stephanie Wade, Justin, Jeremy, Ronnie, Skylyn, Katrina and Natalie Grainger, Doug, Heather, Mitchell, Emerald and Josh LaFosse, T. J. Chessher, Nicole Roy; greatgrandchildren, Mallory, Harley, Noah, Kennedee, Spencer, McKenzie and Gracie; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends who will miss him, dearly. In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Charlotte Sample Fruge`.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.

I don't know where to start. I remember you as the larger than life man in my life. My Daddy! I remember all the bar-b-qs we had. Man you sure could cook. As the years went on and you became sick I missed the man you were. The disease took away my larger than life Daddy and he became a shell of the man I knew. I love you Daddy, I know you are in a better place and no more suffering. Stand tall Daddy until we meet again.
