Edward Paul Gross, 83, of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Edward was born January 20, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas to Edward D. Gross and Anna LeBlanc Gross. He was a lifelong area resident and has resided in Groves for the past 62 years. He retired from Gulf Oil as a carpenter after 43 years of service. He was also a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. Survivors include his two sons, Michael Gross of Groves, and Paul Gross and wife, Kathy of Groves; sister-in-law, Martha Saatzer of Tomball; four grandchildren, Michelle Roger, Danny Gross, Keith Gross, and Robert Gross; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Stephen McCrate officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
