Edward quotRockquot Hudson, 81, of Central Gardens, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 21, 2011 at Melancon39s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Bill Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the funeral home.Edward was a native of Grand Tower, Illinois and lived in Central Gardens since 1962. He retired from Central Freight Lines as a dispatcher with 43 years of service. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.Edward is survived by two daughters, Amanda Graham and husband Michael of Beaumont, and Marcia Wyman of North Carolina one son, Mark Hudson of Central Gardens two sisters, Ruth Duncan of Pocahontas , Arkansas, and Mable Simmons of Illinois four grandchildren, Shane and Hunter Wyman, Evan Penisson, and Makenzie Graham.
