Eileen Giddens

Eileen B. Giddens, 86, of Groves, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Cypress Glen East Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on January 2, 1924 in Plaucheville, Louisiana to Milton and Ollie Bordelon. Eileen was a graduate of T. J. High School and was a telephone operator before moving to Groves. She then became a homemaker and enjoyed raising her five children. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. until service time. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, R. F. "Cotton' Giddens and two brothers, Tyrus and Murl Bordelon. She is survived by her children, Gayle Bost and husband, Ronnie of Groves, Lea Giddens of Maui, HI., Robin Giddens of Groves, Kay Pecorino and husband, Wade of Groves, and Jean Higgs and husband, Phil of Valley Springs, Ca.; brother, Mike Bordelon and wife, Anne of Seabrook; eight grandchildren, Kelly Bertrand, Bryan Bost, Christopher and Lance Giddens, Amanda and Tony Pecorino, and Oliver and Ben Higgs; five great grandchildren, Chase and Brittain Bertrand, Austin, Blake and Addison Bost; and friends from Cypress Glen East who were more to her than caregivers.
