Eldon A. Lazzari

Eldon A. Lazzari, 91 of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 in Groves, Texas. Eldon was born March 27, 1920 in the Cayman Islands to James Cummings Lazzari and Helena Foster Lazzari. He was a resident of Groves for over 63 years and retired from Jefferson County as a journeyman carpenter. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the Salvage Department of the Merchant Marines. Survivors include his wife, Eva Thelma Carson Lazzari of Groves; he was blessed with Tammi Lee of Port Neches and Bobby Monson, Jr. of Port Acres who were like his own children; sister Madge Rich of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers Selbourne Lazzari and Leon Lazzari both of the Cayman Islands. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend James Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
