Elie Carry Chiasson, 61, of Alleyton, Texas passed away April 23, 2011. He was born November 10, 1949 in Nederland, Texas to the late Ledel and Eveline Barousse Chiasson.A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borremeo Catholic Church in Nederland, Father David Placette celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.He is survived by his daughter, Amiee Hooker and husband C. T. of Port Neches son, Cary Chiasson of Beaumont granddaughter, Emma Hooker of Port Neches 2 sisters, Shirley Mouton and husband Darrell of Nederland, and Earline Tesch of Groves Kim Chiasson 4 stepchildren and 9 stepgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Allen Wayne Hanley.

I met your awesome Dad back in the 80"s. I was in town for work. We were professional fundraisers for Fraternal Order of Police organization. He was the liaison for the FOP. We got along very well. One thing that he did that sticks in my mind is when your Dad made some homemade gumbo for me. I thought he was an awesome person. Sorry for your loss. I hope this reaches his daughter

Aimee....I am so sorry to hear about your Dad....He was a long time friend of my family he and my exhusband Rusty Foster worked together as Police Officers in Port Arthur many years. He was a good man and will be missed greatly....Again I am so sorry for your loss.
