Elijah Edward Pruitt, 18, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Elijah was born on September 8, 2004, in Nederland, Texas to Rachel Primeaux Pruitt and Gary Wayne Pruitt. He lived in Port Neches most of his life and loved skateboarding and listening to music. Elijah loved anime, especially Naruto. He enjoyed traveling with his family going to different places. He was a kind and sensitive soul with a calming spirit. He loved to make people smile and laugh. He had dreams of starting a family and being a father, and he valued and cherished his family.

Elijah leaves behind his loving mother, Rachel Primeaux Pruitt and her companion Jason Sedillos of Joshua Tree; brothers and sisters, Ashton Hamilton, Isabella Pruitt and Aireana Pruitt all of Nederland; grandmother, Beatrice Primeaux of Nederland; Elijah’s girlfriend, Addie Carlin of Groves; his uncle and aunt, James and Lisa Pruitt.

Elijah was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne Pruitt; grandparents, Gwen and Terry Pruitt.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland. A Celebration of Life “Memorial Service” will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland to Honor the Life of Elijah Edward Pruitt. Private cremation services will be held at a later date.
