Elizabeth Saide, 101, of Groves, Texas passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Bonne Vie Nursing Home in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born on March 28, 1920 to the late Duke Richard Goode and Nettie Elena Deakle Goode. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Groves, Texas.
Those left to cherish Elizabeth’s memory are her sons, Patrick Saide and his wife, Kathy of Port Neches, Frank Saide and his wife, Cindy of Port Neches, David Saide and his wife, Lauri of Groves; David and Yolanda Heilman of Groves; grandchildren, Christy Hollier, Heather Hommel, Sandra Green, David Lee Saide, John Paul Saide, Elizabeth Reed; fifteen great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Saide; daughter, Janet Saide; son, Ronnie Saide; and multiple brothers and sisters.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation and will begin at 2:30 p.m. with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
