Elizabeth “Bettye” Vaughan, 88, of Port Neches passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Cypress Glen in Port Arthur, TX.

Bettye was born in Port Arthur, TX, on October 29, 1928. She is the daughter of the late Harvey Lowe Nance and Mary Harriet Mason Nance.

Those left to cherish Bettye’s memory are her son, Mark Kevin Vaughan and wife, Beverly; daughter, Stacey Vaughan Blanton and husband, Jimmy; grandsons, Shane Brown and wife, Brandi, Taylor Vaughan and wife, Amy, John Michael Brown and Madison Blanton; granddaughters, Ashley Vaughan Redwine and husband, Jerry, Brooks Vaughan and partner, Ashley Spake, Alexandra Blanton Easley and husband, Aaron and Kimberley Richardon and husband, Terry; great-grandchildren, Easton, Lynleigh, Jerrel Rusty “L.J.”, Mattie, Justin, Liam, Kooper, Cadence, Karter and Hagen. Bettye is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert “Rusty” Vaughan; sisters, Emiley and Thelma and a brother Jack.

There will be graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
