Ella Mae Reed

Ella Mae Reed, 82, of Groves, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Ella was born May 10, 1928 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Carroll Whitton and Martha Dean Whitton. She was a resident of Groves for 64 years and retired from Texaco after 30 years of service in the Canning Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley "Pop" Reed. Survivors include her son, Steve Reed and wife, Robbie of Groves; sister, Maurice Reed of Groves; two grandchildren, Colby Reed and wife, Della and Josh Reed and wife, Corrina; three great-grandchildren, Kenadi Graner, Landon Reed, and Braylen Reed; niece, Kay Reed and nephew, Kenneth Reed and wife, Debbie. Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Dan Davis and Reverend Michael Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
