Elliot Morales Mortera, 48, of Nederland, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2024.

Elliot was born in Acayucan, Mexico, Elliot's journey led him to Nederland, Texas where he unexpectedly passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of many. He will forever be remembered for his kind soul and joyous spirit that brightened the lives of those around him. Elliot had unconditional love towards everyone he met, his deep passion for Rock music and playing the guitar, as well as his knack for humor.

Elliot is preceded in death by his mother, Veronica Perez Mortera. While he may have left this world, his memory lives on through those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Elliot leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his children, Daniel Mortera of Port Acres; Blake Mortera and his wife Kaylee of Port Neches; Ashley Mortera of Dallas; and Ethan Mortera of Groves. In addition, he is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Maggie Mortera, Milaya Picazo, Zi'aira Obrien, and one soon-to-arrive grandchild, Aleena Mortera.

In the hearts of his family and friends, Elliot Morales Mortera's spirit will forever resonate, reminding all who knew him of the power of love, music, laughter, and a truly remarkable soul.

May he rest in peace.

       A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., with a Celebration of Elliot's Life to begin at 2:30 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
