Elna Belle Richards

Elna Belle Richards, 87, entered into the presence of her LORD and Saviour on Sunday, February 19, 2012. She was welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband of 58 years, Mordecal "Buck" Richards; her beloved Mother, three brothers and two sisters. She was born in Marshall, Texas on January 17, 1925. Elna resided in Port Arthur and was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church for 64 years. She was very active with the Senior Citizen Center in Groves, Val Verde Baptist Church and Memorial Baptist Church where she had so many dear friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Roddy and Janell Richards of Bridge City and Clyde and Maureen Richards of Brookings, Oregon. "Mama Buck" as her grandchildren named her will also be missed by Jason and Nicole Richards of Tyler, Texas; Clay and Tiffany Richards of Orange, Texas; Zach and Karon Padgett of Pearland, Texas; Carrie Jenkins of Bixby, Oklahoma and Mark Jenkins of Pomona, California. Her great-grandchildren are Carson, Colton, Nixon Kate, Landon and Emmerson Richards, Corley Padgett, Chelsea and Chea Leger. Caelan and Ian Streety are her great-great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 4545 Hwy 73 in Port Arthur, TX with Dr. Phil Sigman officiating. The family, ask that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Central Baptist Church.
